How to Run a Quarterly Review
The highest-leverage ritual in JeevanAxis — reflect, judge goals, re-score your life areas, and freeze a snapshot. Why Mark Complete matters.
How to Run a Quarterly Review
The Quarterly Review is the highest-leverage ritual in JeevanAxis. Every ninety days you stop, look honestly at the quarter behind you, judge your goals, decide what to keep and change, plan the next quarter, and re-score your life areas — freezing a snapshot you can look back on for years. It is where the Blueprint recalibrates.
Operational Directive
Auto-save only stores a draft. Your new life-area scores and the permanent snapshot are not saved until you press Mark Complete. Finish the review — do not just fill it in and leave.
Section ProtocolThe steps
| Step | What you capture |
|---|---|
| Reflect | Achievements, failures, surprises, lessons, and an identity reflection |
| Goals | Mark each goal completed, in progress, or cancelled |
| Keep / Start / Stop | Three lists that shape the next quarter |
| Next Quarter | Your plan for the coming ninety days |
| Life-Area Reassessment | Re-score each area of life |
Section ProtocolHow to run it well
Block a quiet thirty to forty-five minutes; this is not a review to squeeze between meetings. Move through the steps in order — reflection first, because an honest look back is what makes the planning that follows worth anything.
The app offers an AI copilot that pre-fills your wins, challenges, and a narrative from the quarter's actual evidence — your weekly reviews, completed goals, and reviewed decisions. Treat its output as a first draft to react to, then rewrite in your own words. An evidence panel shows the same source material so you are reflecting on what really happened, not what you vaguely remember.
Section ProtocolThe Mark Complete moment
This is the part to understand clearly. As you work, the review auto-saves — but only as a draft. Your changed life-area scores are held in a pending state, and the snapshot has not been written. When you press Mark Complete, three things happen at once: the new scores are saved, a permanent blueprint snapshot is created, and the score history is recorded. Only then does the quarter become part of your reviewable timeline.
⚠Common Traps
Section ProtocolWorked example
At the end of Q2, Meera reflects: shipped the redesign (achievement), let sleep slip in the crunch (failure), discovered she loves mentoring (surprise). She marks two goals complete and cancels one that no longer fits. Keep: morning training. Start: a weekly finance review. Stop: late-night doom-scrolling. She reassesses Health down from 7 to 6 and Career up from 5 to 7, writes her Q3 plan, and presses Mark Complete. The snapshot freezes; six months later she can see exactly how she thought at that moment.
