The Blueprint Module: Complete Guide

Most productivity apps start with your tasks. JeevanAxis starts one level up — with the person doing the tasks. The Blueprint is where you define who you are, what you stand for, and where you are going, so that every habit, project, and daily decision downstream has something true to align to. It is the strategic foundation the rest of the app hangs on.

Operational Directive

The Blueprint is not a form you fill in once. It is a living document you write over weeks and return to for years — starting with a single honest sentence about who you are.

What the Blueprint is for

Goals tell you what to do. The Blueprint tells you why, and who it is for. When a decision is hard, when two priorities collide, or when you have drifted and need to find north again, the Blueprint is the document you consult. It has six working parts, plus a quarterly ritual that keeps it honest.

SectionWhat it holdsHow often you touch it
IdentityYour one-sentence statement, roles, standards, and linesWrite first; refine occasionally
ConstitutionValues, principles, laws, decision rules, anti-goalsAdd rules as life teaches them
Vision1-year, 3-year, 10-year, and legacy picturesRevisit each quarter
DirectionLife-area scores, alignment, and your goalsCheck when you feel off-track
DecisionsA journal of real choices, predicted and reviewedLog as decisions arise
FrameworksGuided thinking worksheets (Ikigai, SWOT, more)Use when a problem is hard

Section Protocol
When to use it

Start the Blueprint in your first week — the onboarding wizard walks you through the essentials in about fifteen minutes. After that, treat it like a garden, not a monument: five minutes a month to tend it beats a frantic rewrite twice a year. Reach for it before any big decision, and work through it fully at every quarterly review.

Section Protocol
The order that works

The parts are not independent. Each one leans on the one before it, so the sequence matters more than completeness.

  1. Identity first. Write "I am a ___ who ___" before anything else. Every other section is downstream of this sentence.
  2. Constitution next. Turn that identity into operating rules — the values you rank, the laws you will not break.
  3. Vision then. Project the identity forward into a concrete picture at one, three, and ten years.
  4. Direction and Goals. Score your life areas, see where stated intent and actual effort diverge, and set goals against the biggest gaps.
  5. Decisions and Frameworks, ongoing. Log real choices and use structured worksheets as life presents them.
  6. Quarterly Review, every 90 days. Reflect, judge, re-score, and freeze a snapshot you can look back on.

Common Traps

Two worked examples

The trader. Ravi anchors on "I am a disciplined trader who follows process over outcome." From that sentence he derives a standard (train before the market opens), a personal law (never trade on tilt), and a decision rule for when conviction and risk collide. His quarterly review scores Finance and Health, and his decision journal grades whether his process actually held.

The career-changer. Meera scores Career 4 out of 10 against a desired 8, writes a one-year vision of the role she wants, and sets two goals in Direction to close the gap. Each week she logs the small decisions — which project to take, which to decline — and reviews them ninety days later to see whether her judgment was calibrated.
