How to Start a Transform Cycle

Walk through the 7-step quick-start wizard — domain, identity, why-chain, cost, daily anchor, 90-day goal, and failure pattern. Why the day-boundary pauses are intentional.

How to Start a Transform Cycle

Everything in Transform hangs on the cycle you set up first. The quick-start wizard is not a form to rush — it is where you decide who you are becoming, why it matters enough to sacrifice for, and what one daily behaviour will prove it. Done well, the rest of the ninety days almost runs itself.

Operational Directive

The wizard deliberately pauses after the early steps and asks you to continue tomorrow. Sleeping on the identity and the cost makes the answers truer. Those pauses are the feature, not a glitch.

The seven steps

StepWhat you decide
DomainHealth, career, mindset, finance, relationships, or custom — plus an optional curriculum blueprint
Identity"I am becoming a person who…", the from→to shift, and the anti-pattern
Why chainThree levels deep — why this, and why that, and why that
The costThe sacrifice this change will honestly require
Daily anchorYour keystone non-negotiable, its identity link, and a worst-day minimum
90-day goalA concrete outcome and the identity it would prove
Failure patternWhat derailed past attempts — the day you dropped off and the blocker

How to do each step well

Domain and blueprint. Pick the area you most want to change, then attach a curriculum blueprint if one fits. The blueprint supplies daily lessons, laws, and prompts — skip it and the daily screens will be much barer.

Identity. This is the centre of gravity. Write who you are becoming in the present tense, and name the anti-pattern — what this person would never do. If you have already written an identity statement in your Life Blueprint, the wizard can inherit it.

Why chain and cost. Push past the first reason. "I want to be fit" becomes "so I have energy for my kids" becomes "so I am the parent I promised to be." Then name the cost honestly — every real change trades something away.

Daily anchor. Choose one keystone behaviour, small enough that you can do it on your worst day. Set that worst-day minimum explicitly; it is what protects your streak when life goes sideways.

Section Protocol
When you finish

Completing the wizard writes your identity to the Blueprint, freezes a day-zero snapshot, and creates the 90-day cycle, your daily anchor, and your first goal. From then on, opening Transform shows the daily companion rather than the wizard.

Common Traps

Worked example

Meera picks the mindset domain and a focus curriculum. Identity: "I am becoming someone who does deep work before reacting to the world." Anti-pattern: "checks messages before the first block." Anchor: "Ninety minutes of focused work first," minimum "one twenty-five-minute block." Her 90-day goal is to ship a personal project. Her failure pattern: past attempts died around week three when travel broke the routine — so her minimum is built for hotel mornings.
